I am beginning my journey of obtaining my Masters Degree! A long time goal, a dream realized. When I consider the journey to this point, the timing is right for me right now at nearly 60 years old to be learning, engaged in being better, and in never letting go of the dreams of education.
With the recent growth of my business, I have realized the demands of strong leadership. I have wondered why it all seems so difficult, and other than my getting older, I have reflected on the early part of my career where leadership growth was necessary! I took classes often, trained others, which sharpened my own skills, and was in touch with other leaders in my industry. At this time in my life, I don't have those same things going on. I believe that the timing of this degree is perfect. The first class I am taking is Character and the Ethics of Leadership. In these first two weeks, I have already found myself visiting information that I already know, am being introduced to new information, and am meeting people from all over the United States. It is a thrill for me to learn.
How lucky am I? I can take classes online, I can work in my p.j's and I can read in my favorite chair. I can drink tea, watch a video, and I can learn new things every day that I can use in my business. I can look ahead at the completion of the degree, what that will mean to me personally, and how I can impact others while learning new things.
I am grateful for the opportunity, for the journey, for the learning, and for the check mark by yet another goal that I have set in my life. I am writing to acknowledge the beginning of the journey and will check in along the way to share the abundance in my life.
I am a Woman in Leadership! I am proud of my accomplishments, I am delighted to see fruits of my labors in my Early Education Program and now my Private School! Thinking already about the doctorate which surely will follow...
I feel blessed!
